COURTSIDE MICH ULTRA Art BASEL
Associate Creative Director, Interactive Design, Motion Design
(Illustrator, After Effects, procreate, C4D)
As Associate Creative Director of MOtion for the Courtside experience with Michelob Ultra, I led the concept and design of the central interactive installation anchoring a large-scale event environment. our interactive game design included photo moments, celebration graphics and a live concert stage featuring a performance by 21 Savage Framed by the miami skyline on the outskirts of Wynwood during art basel.
The installation was conceived as a playable, interactive basketball court designed to function as the visual and experiential centerpiece of the space. I developed an original game mechanic inspired by “around the world,” where participant interaction progressively unlocked sections of digital artwork created by graffiti artists featured at Art Basel. The experience blended sport, art, and interaction into a single system that rewarded participation and discovery.
I was responsible for gameplay design, user flow, wireframing, and creative direction, working closely with the client to align brand goals, cultural relevance, and technical feasibility. The result was a highly visible, crowd-driving experience that operated as both spectacle and interaction, positioning the brand at the center of the event through play, art, and shared experience.
notably, this interactive experience was built before the NBA featured a full LED court at the 2024 All Star Game. Our design was a foreshadow to advanced interactive graphics that would begin to unfold; those incorporating AI and Unreal Render Engines.
